Chapter 1366: Correct use of the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman
Chapter 1366: Correct use of the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman
Shang Xia had always been curious. He hadn’t seen a single ark since they set off, but in order for the Wanyun Association and the Twin Star Pirate to attack a Spirit World, they definitely needed one.
However, be it the Wanyun Association or the Twin Star Pirates, both sides hid their trump cards really well. He felt that it was pretty impressive they managed to hide it from his senses despite him not emerging from the ship.
Seeing the small golden pagoda-like structure on the small ship and the True Immortal who was doing something on it, Shang Xia’s gaze turned a little weird.
Gong Zhuo introduced excitedly at the side, “That’s the Stargazer of the Twin Star Pirates. The small ship is created to act as a Star Observatory. He’s trying to use some sort of special method to determine the exact location of the Spirit Dawn World and a safe path to it.”
Shang Xia was slightly taken aback, and he eventually muttered, “So that’s how they use their technique... I really learned something this time. I didn’t think that Stargazers would possess such abilities!”
Gong Zhuo’s eyes widened slightly and he chuckled hoarsely in response, “Apologies... I didn’t explain it well. The Stargazers don’t have that ability. In fact, even rank five Stargazers wouldn’t be able to peer past the streams of chaotic space. The reason they could do so is because of the special art the Twin Star Pirates possess! One of them is working from within the Essence Ling Heavenly Field!”
“Twin... Don’t tell me those Stargazers there are also...” Shang Xia gasped.
Gong Zhuo nodded slowly. “That’s right. The Stargazer there has a twin, and not only did his twin reach the Martial Void Realm, but he is also a Stargazer. He has been hiding in the Essence Ling World for some time now, and he should be somewhere near the void around the Spirit Dawn World. They\'re using the secret art to discover each other’s presence and to find their way around. Rather than say they’re locating the world... We can simply say that they’re locating each other.”
Shang Xia was flabbergasted, but he couldn’t help but praise, “To be able to think of something like that... It really is a special method never thought of before!”
Gong Zhuo agreed. “The Twin Star Pirate merely used their inheritance. Since their Stargazers are also True Immortals that’s how they managed to establish themselves in the Chaotic Sea of Stars!”
“To be honest, if not for the fact that the Twin Star Pirates have a strict requirement for their members to all be twins... They might have grown even stronger! At the very least, they would be comparable to the massive pirate groups out there.” Gong Zhuo sighed.
Even without Gong Zhuo mentioning the matter, Shang Xia could pretty much guess that the members of the Twin Star Pirates were twins.
Even though they seemed to be limiting their growth, their sense of unity far surpassed any other pirate groups out there.
The special part of the Twin Star Pirates was the strange Star Ship that could act as a Star Observatory, but Shang Xia was too lazy to evaluate that.
In his eyes, it was true that the True Immortal using it was a rank four Stargazer. However, their skill was far too inferior in his eyes.
Shang Xia might not be a Stargazer, but he had always observed when Yan Ming, Xin Lu, and Yuan Qiuyuan did their work. Those were Stargazers and Grand Stargazers he was talking about! Looking at the Stargazer of the Twin Star Pirates mucking about, Shang Xia felt that he was really pretty bad at his job. He raised an eyebrow when he saw how Gong Zhuo was watching so intently.
From their reaction, Shang Xia could guess that the Wanyun association didn’t have a Stargazer inheritance of their own.
With how the high-level True Immortals of the Wanyun Association had been interacting with each other, the art of stargazing was pretty rare in the sea of stars outside the Heaven Observation Field. The worth of a Stargazer was a lot higher than he had expected.
The Twin Star Pirate’s Stargazer used 3 days to complete his task, and Shang Xia was naturally unwilling to stand beside Gong Zhuo to watch them the entire time. Actually, he wasn’t really interested after an hour.
Even if True Immortals had a lot more patience and endurance than normal people and after 3 whole days, the Twin Star Pirate’s Stargazer looked a lot worse for wear.
He didn’t waste his efforts though. After Shang Xia completed a Five Element Teleportation Talisman with his new brush, Gong Zhuo sent news that they locked on to a general direction and were about to enter the Essence Ling Heavenly Field.
Shang Xia arranged the things in his cabin and started to adjust his condition by meditating quietly.
It didn’t take long before an intense tremor rocked the Star Ship. Even though the impact was greatly reduced by the light barrier around the fleet, the shaking still surpassed the time when they entered the chaotic streams of space of the Essence Xing Heavenly Field.
Clearly, the path they chose was even more remote and dangerous than when the Wanyun Association left the Essence Xing Heavenly Field.
Thankfully, their luck wasn’t too bad. They didn’t run into any Star Beast attacks along the way. They might have felt a strong impact when passing into the region of chaotic space, but the ships weren’t damaged. The time they spent traveling was also pretty short.
Just a few days later, everything started to calm down as they entered the Essence Ling Heavenly Field.
According to the information sent by the Twin Star Pirates, there should be another world in the region called the Azure Geng World.
In order to prevent being discovered and allow the news to reach the Spirit Dawn World, the Wanyun Association and the Twin Star Pirates had to pass through the region quietly.
Throughout their journey, nothing strange happened. Actually, even if they were discovered by the Azure Geng World, things would be fine. No one would mess with such a powerful fleet, and they wouldn’t be able to pass down their information that quickly.
In less than half a day, they arrived around the Spirit Dawn World.
Shang Xia stood on the deck of the ship once again, and he noticed 11 Star Ships spreading out in different directions around the Spirit Dawn World. The only ships left were 1 from Twin Star Pirate and the massive Star Ship Shang Xia was on.
In a serious voice, he turned to Gong Zhuo. “This...”
Gong Zhuo looked at the other ships that moved in the other directions and explained, “In order to seal off the Spirit Dawn World, we have to spread out in all directions. This is also to block off reinforcements from reaching them."
“If they’re stopping the backup from coming... Are we...” Shang Xia raised an eyebrow. He guessed as much, but he needed confirmation.
“That’s right. Our ships’ main goal is to shatter the heavenly screen that protects the Spirit Dawn World!” Gong Zhuo nodded.
Shang Xia couldn’t help but ask, “Are we going to charge at them just like that? Didn’t we make all sorts of preparations?”
“That’s to prevent any accidents from happening. Actually, we don’t have much time. The other powers of the Essence Ling Heavenly Field might be preparing a counterattack. We need to end this quickly. We have to leave before the other worlds descend on us. If we are held back, the situation will quickly spiral out of control and the consequences will be too dire to think about.” Gong Zhuo continued to explain.
Shang Xia felt that there were definitely changes he wasn’t aware of, which was why they suddenly changed the plan into a direct siege. From the looks of it, Gong Zhuo was also unwilling to tell him anything more.
After thinking for a moment, Shang Xia frowned, “Did they already discover us?”
He thought that the experts of the Azure Geng World might have discovered them and sent out a transmission when they were nearby earlier, but he didn’t expect Gong Zhuo to shake his head and sigh, “That\'s not it. True Immortal Shang, there’s no need to worry. We don’t have a plan to risk our Wanyun Association for this. As long as we end the battle quickly, there will be nothing to worry about.”
After he spoke, he turned to leave. Even though the battle was imminent, there were other things he had to do.
The Star Ship started to accelerate, and there were 4 Star Ships that would fly straight into the heavenly screen of the Spirit Dawn World. With them bearing down on their target, there was no need to hide their presence any longer.
Shang Xia suddenly thought of another possibility. Since the Twin Star Pirates had a spy placed in the Essence Ling Heavenly Field, there was a chance the Martial Emptiness Realm Sage suddenly made a reappearance.
Since they were still willing to take the risk to attack the Spirit Dawn World, Shang Xia felt that they either had enough reassurance to take on the Sage, or the Sage wasn’t actually in the Essence Ling Heavenly Field and was only starting to rush back.
No matter which possibility it was, Shang Xia knew that they couldn’t hold back any longer.
The 4 Star Ships ordered themselves 2 by 2, and they became faster and faster until streaks of light hundreds of miles long were drawn behind them. Even if the Spirit Dawn World were made up of idiots and didn’t possess any defenses, they would definitely have discovered their presence.
When Shang Xia thought of what he should do, he suddenly felt something and he turned to look around. He saw a rainbow mist covering the Star Ships as they continued to forge ahead.
Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman!
Shang Xia knew that it was the talisman he had made for them, but he didn’t think that the Wanyun Association would use it so decisively. In fact, they activated 4 of them to cover all 4 ships!
